I have the 6" tuff country lift on my truck and its been flawless for the 2 years that its been on there but I'm really getting the itch to go higher. How much of a pain is it to pull off the lift I have now and install the Cognito? Anything special that needs to be done in order for the Cognito to be installed? Thanks!

same question. Only switching from 8" fabtech. Can you use fabtech uppers and hoop on cognito?

You might want to look at the new fabtech long travel kit.. They have a retro fit for current 8" systems..

Not really all that hard, its just a straight parts swap, but you will need the extended driveshaft for the front, alot of guys tend to do without it at first, but always bites them in the but later down the line. you probably want to do the dual shock front setup and the HD swaybar.

For the rear, its up to you, either blocks or leaf springs..Long story short, basically all the bells and whistles for the cognito 10-12 is well worth it. When i did extensive search and thinking for my setup, trying to save money as much as I can, I just opted to do all the bells and whistles, and as started I never looked back, and my truck runs and feels great on and off. Believe me Iv tested it but not overdoing it.

Haha, I'm doing this exact same thing. Ordering mine this week. hit me up if I can help in any way.

My findings here. (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=365526)

Like mentioned above, the front driveshaft will be replaced. The Cognito kit comes with everything for the front, and the rear Deavers if you go that route.

You will need this > Upper Diff Ear Mount

Other than that all you have to do is get with the person you are purchasing your Cognito package from and build it like you are starting from scratch.

Yes the Fabtech UCA and Hoop will work on the Cognito base suspension.

Really the only head ache when swapping lifts is if you have whats called a UCA drop style kit where they cut parts on the frame off, other wise a spindle to spindle lift design swap is pretty straight forward.
