Had my Fabtech upgrades installed today, along with the Super Steer Idler Arm Support bracket and BFG 35" Tires.

Preliminary observations: First and foremost, I was impressed with how much beefier all of the new components were versus stock. Steering is much tighter and every movement of the steering wheel results in a movement of the wheels:ro) .

Was not to impressed with the little silver collars for the dust boot seal on the tierodsCensored Censored Censored and Censored . Finally had to just put wire ties on until I figure out how to get them on. I guess if this is my only complaint, then it will be smooth sailing from here.

I guess only time will tell for sure.

Let's see now---what's next---more cosmetic or perfomance upgrades?

Had local tire shop (know the manager real well so labor was $0.00) do install, but had to somewhat step in and do it myself since the guy he had doing it no speaka the language and I never saw him look at the instructions. Instructions are very good and easy to follow (lots of pics and diagrams).

The Super Steer Idler Support Bracket is not made by Fabtech, but by Henderson's Line up. It is extremely well built and much beefier than the OEM. It is a sealed unit (no greasing necessary) with bearings (OEM is bushings) and synthetic Amsoil grease. It has a lifetime gurantee. Here is a link to their site

Mike

Part number is SS175 for the 99&up GM Light Duty Pickup. The cost is a very reasonable $185.00 plus shipping:) .

I agree with moss022, this part surprised me :jawdrop: at how big and heavy duty it looked, especially compared to OEM.
