I'm interested in 35x12.5 18 Nitto Trail Grapplers. However, they a spec'd at 13.39" wide on a 10" wheel. That's 1.19" wider than my current tire specs (12.2"wide on 8.5") and I'm concerned they may be too wide and rub. My new wheels are 9" and I'd like to know (estimate) what the real difference would be 9" vs. 9"

I'm not sure if anyone is interested in this subject, but I did find out that industry rule of thumb is that every 1/2" of wheel width difference, there is a .2" tire section width difference.

So the tire I'm looking at is 13.39" wide on a 10" wheel. If mounted on a 9" wheel, it would be 12.99" wide (.2" x 2).
