Ive got an 06 cclb im working on with a 6 inch pro comp lift. The thing axle wraps like a mofo with the 4" blocks. I was contemplating swapping the leaf packs out with a considerably heavier stack. The guy who owns the truck hauls a mini excavator or a bobcat frequently. So i was thinking of going to the heavier stack and 2 inch blocks. I know the stack im gonna buy will add 2 or 3 inches over stock as i got the same spring packs for someone else a while back. Anyone try this to combat axle wrap?

Wouldnt you have to add some sort of traction/ladder bar to keep the axle from wrapping under load, similar to what dragracers/pullers have to use?

Thats what im trying to avoid. Less spring flex is going to equal less axle wrap, but i question whether its going to be enough. If the truck were mine ide order the dump truck springs and give it a try, and im confident it would make a big difference. But seeing as how its not my truck i wanted to get some info on whether anyone else has tried it.

you can get the 3500 springs cheap enough, but on the truck in my sig there is a set of custom Deaver springs built for 1500 lbs+ of tongue weight and setup for 6" of lift. i wanna say they were $950 plus shipping or close to it. very well worth it, they ride like glass.
