I am looking to get some shades/vent visors for my truck. I have seen the "in channel" type as well at the stick on type. I had the stick on type on my Tundra and had no problems, even when going through the car wash. I don't take the new truck through the car wash but have one question about the "in channel" types. When you drive with the windows down is there a chance of them blowing off? They don't seem too secure when the window is not keeping them in place?

No most have some tape on them that tate to the seal for the window. Auto Vent Shade makes some nice ones but EGR's fit better

I have Weathertech in-channel and they haven't blown off. I really like the look of in-channel better.

Another vote for Weather Tech - no leaks, no rattles, no blow-off, no worries.

I also just installed the weather-techs on my '05 CC. Look and fit is great but if I open the front window about an inch in the rain I get a total shower:confused: Anyone else notice this? I've had Vent-visor stick ons on other vehicles and had no problems keeping the window open 6" or better. Seems like the water kinda pools up on the visor near the end then gets blown in.

Jaime

As long as I keep the upper window edge above the lower visor edge I stay dry.
