I tried a search. It came back with about a million pages. I could not find my problem in the first 500,000 pages so here's a new thread. 07 LBZ, the truck was parked for a couple of weeks, I was gone, son had keys, I don't know what went on while I was gone. I came back and tried to start it. The glow plug light came on then went off. When I tried to crank I lost all dash lights, the starter didn't even click. I put a battery charger on for a few hours and she started right up. However, the CEL is now on. I assume it was because of the low voltage condition. Is that a possibility with these? Can the CEL be cleared by disconnecting the batteries for a few minutes like you could do with the old gas rigs or do I need to take it to a dealer?

wont 50 ignition cycles clear the light? I've done that on my 07 lbz

I don't know if it's 50 or what, but after driving it around a bit today the light went out.

FWIW, mine put the CEL on after a dead battery episode back in the winter. I bought two new batteries and the light soon went out by itself. Call me lazy, but I never did scan it to see what code it threw or how long it might have retained it.

Probably a lost communication code or something like that. More than likely nothing to worry about.

More than likely you've got a U0101 code stored. Like was said above, its a lost communication code for one of the modules but I can't remember which one right now. It turns off the CEL within a couple of cycles provided the module passes subsequent BITs. The code will stay in memory until you clear it though.

Good to know, thanks!
