i have an 86 military surplus truck and i had it running earlier today shut it off and left the key on to do some wiring for tail lights on the flat bed it has on it. went to fire it up when i was done and now it just crank and cranks either will not start it (small amounts they don't like it) so what might be the problem it has a red wire and a green on the red has 24v just like another one i have but the green on has nothing it has 12 on my other truck and when i run a 12v hot wire ti it you can hear a click but it still doesn't start?? it has fuel and all the fuses in the cab are fine, anyone have any suggestions does it need a new shut off solenoid or what do you think?? when you jump it it will click but the truck wont start and i had it running an hr before?

I got had an air leak in my fuel line that just suddenly appeared and the fuel system lost its prime. Not knowing this, I got all the air out, got it running again for a while, and it died again. Crack the line coming out out of the filter to see if you have diesel there. Usually if the fuel solenoid clicks, its working.
