did you make sure the tune file you put on the SD card was in fact in *.ctd format? NOT *.tun

How do you go about doing that format?
Thanks.

Correct on the no support for the Bosch ECMs in LBZ. LMM, and 06 LLY. Just Delphi LB7 and LLY.

OK, so I've had a read across the posts in this thread now. The only thing that I ask or suggest to start with is to:

1) Copy all the data from the SD card to your computer; perhaps using the SD card slot in the laptop or card reader. Basically doing a backup here.
2) Go to the setting on the V2 (F4->F1->F1) and check that the 'File sys' option is set to SD Card.
3) Format the SD card in the V2 device (F4->F2->F3)
4) Insert the SD back into the laptop and you'll notice the folder structure created on the SD card.

This structure is what EFILive requires the structure to be. If you place a .ctd file just in the root of the SD card it will not be seen. I'm expecting (hoping) that this is the cause of the problem?

Please let us know the results :)

I'm having a mental problem trying to envisage what the message might be referring to :( Any chance of a screenshot or digital picture of the error?

Like the LLY_W.obj , LLY_W.bix and LLY_R.obj , LLY_R.bix are missing from the config section? When you are setting up your V2 in S&T when you hit the Program button; instead of just programming "fast," program "slow all required files" to the V2

I am getting "$0502 Script Error" as well. I have a LB7 with the DSP2 OS.

I can select the tune on the V2, but as soon as I press OK, it gives me the error. I have the LB7_W.obj, etc. in the config memory. I formatted it and re-loaded it several times (manually with the Explorer, and automatically from the V8 Black Box settings page).

Ok, Hcaliber what engine are you trying to do this to? From what I gathered from reading this thread Efi Live support is saying that it is possible to use the SD card on the V2 to load tunes on the LBZ/LMM ecm's, whereas I thought this was not yet possible?

I can advise absolutely that LBZ/LMM standalone read and flash is not supported in this current release.

If these issues are being seen by customers with LBZ/LMM vehicles then this will likely be the reason. I thought the problem was not seeing a read .ctd file which would be something else entirely.

I'm trying it on my 2005 LLY?

Provided the LLY is not actually using the LBZ (E35) ECM controller it should work; it's supported in this release.

For people with the Script issues can you please do the following:
- Ensure that you have the latest (at time of this post) 7.5.6 Build 110 and 8.1.2 Build 90 (and update to the 2.06.31 firmware).
- Verify the configuration of your Option.txt file is as per your requirement. When going to click the 'Program' button please click on the little 'Down Arrow' at the right side of the button (to show more options). Then select the 'Program ALL Required Data (Slower)' option.
- Open EFILive Explorer and change to the 'Config Files' tab and verify that you see .obj and .bix files for your vehicle type (i.e. LLY_R.bix, LLY_R.obj, LLY_W.bix, LLY_W.obj).

Post if you still have issues after doing these steps.

I am running 8.1.2 Build 90 (and 2.06.31 firmware). The .ctd was created with 7.5.6.110 (it is attached in a .zip file, the tune is stock).
I programmed it with the ALL DATA Option, after formatting it first (the last option). I included the Options.txt file from the V2 after programming it.
In the Config tab, I have LB7.pmm, LB7_R.obj, LB7_R.bix, LB7_W.obj, LB7_W.bix, and a few other files. (Used: 937,472 Bytes, Free: 609,280 Bytes)

When I try and tune the controller, I get the script error (see photo). It is a LB7 with DSP2 OS (03904401).

I hope we can get this working, because it is going to be a sweet feature!

The errors reported in this thread are being reported over a number of controller types. We are currently working on fix. When we have a solution we will let you know.
