How am I supposed to get this damn thing off? It's stuck behind the advance arm, moving the arm doesn't work cuz it doesn't swing out of the way far enough, it will only twist 180 degrees and that doesn't make any difference. The service manual never said I needed to remove the advance arm or anything...

I'm thinking of just leaving it on there and making sure to hold onto it when I pull the throttle shaft out, so it doesn't fall into the valley. Opinions?

Well,the face cam should be marked with the throttle at rest before you loosen and remove the tiny torx screw within the cam itself.Once the cam is marked,you can remove the screw and pull the shaft to the side after doing a few more things under the governor cover but overall its very easy to do.
