Can anyone tell me where the front spacers go for my new front shocks? Where on top? I'm getting ready to change them and this question came up.

Thanks in advance
Chuck

It depends on the spacers. I have seen some that attach to the top of the shock and some that attach to the lower control arm on the vehicle. We don't know what you have. Where did you get your spacers? A photo would certainly help.

bought the yellow Blinstin shocks from Kennedy. The front of my truck has been raised and he suggested I use the spacers. The spacer looks like a bushing that fits over the shock shaft. He says when the truck has been raised to use these bushings. Thanks advance for your help

There is really only 1 place they can go, on the top of the shock shaft, under the mount.

You need shock spacers, they mount to the lower control arms in the same location as the factory mount, they are just longer http://www.alligatorperformance.com/cognito-shock-extenders-0109-series-trucks-p-3750.html

Installation of front shocks (Blinstin yellows) with spacer. Boot on then spacer then large steel washer, then rubber spacer. Install it and cap it off with rubber washer, steel washer and 15 mm bolt. Tighten 15mm bolt to 15 ft lbs. Bottom is set to 110 ft lbs. Rear 21 mm bolts are set at 70 ft lbs top and bottom. No problems went real fast and fit up nice.
