Yeah, Ford's really thrown it down with the new 6.7 Powerstroke. I drove one at the local Ford dealer the other day at a launch even the other day.
I like my Chev but I've always been partial to a solid front axle on a HD truck.

I agree somethin about a solid front axle just makes truck feel like a truck. I think they should make a solid front axle available in a 3/4 ton hd and 3500 standard. I think they would sell more trucks this way.
wreedLBZ 05-10-2010, 11:56 AM If the Ford had the Dmax Allison I would buy it today. So much of a nicer and well buitl truck than the Chevy, period.
pa32rt 05-10-2010, 12:07 PM This thread is starting to go all over the place, so I'll add that if Dodge had Dmax/Allison, it would be the truck for luxury / hauling. Heated/cooled everything, ice chests in the rear floor boards, reclining back seats. Talk about having your cake and eating it too!
But, it's STILL a Dodge.
