So i got the news that my #8,5 injectors are out, and wondering if anyone has done the replacement themselves? I dont have the money to have them done buy gm and dont want to pay gm for that fact just getting the feel for what i might get myself into here how big of a job it is and where i can get the cheapest injectors thanks

Do a search on the topic of injectors. Ton of info on it and go to the DIY section of the forum and see a very good write up on how to replace the injectors.

Have you called the dealer to find out whether its still under warranty? Its 7 yrs 200k. With an 03 you might still be under warranty depending on the date your truck was put into service.

yea my warranty went up about two months ago talk about perfect timing what a joke, and thanks for the info well done

I would call every dealer I could find to include the owner of government motors until I found someone that would replace them under warranty or at a greatly reduced rate. GM knows these injectors are faulty so out of good will they should still do it. I just had mine done 2 months ago and the my 7 years is up in June and I only have 77K on the truck. They replaced them at absolutely no charge to me. I would raise cane and cut it and raise it again :) jabs

what do you mean about the government of motors? So just by calling and raising hell they got them done for ya thats a good deal i will for sure be making some phone calls monday morning thanks a lot
