im running edge w/ ***. and i know that it doesnt remove the gov, so my question is this. is there something to do/get to remove the gov without buying another programmer?

Not that I know of. You could get a Predator just to read codes and change parameters including the gov. That was the main reason I got mine, the 40hp is just a bonus.

how much is the predator? where can you get the best deal? Is it really worth it to just remove the governor?

How bad do you want the governer gone? Only you know what you would pay to make it go away.

This is one of the reasons I went with a tuner instead of a box. Tire size and gear adjustment, rpm limit movement, and speed governing removal all bundled into transparent plug and play.

Which tuner are you running that changes the RPM limiter? Can it be set anywhere you want within its limits?

~$300. Kennedy diesel is a supporting member here an he sold me my Predator. It is the best bang for the buck. Right now, it may not offer the best programming as far as EGT's are concerned, but I read that is in the works for a better program. Still a good system in my book.
