At 107K my Dmax seemed to be chugging along with no injector issues....then...

Pulled up to a red light, smelled diesel..hmmm. Started to puff a little smoke at idle and the diesel exhaust smell got a lot worse...hmmm. Started checking the oil...the level was slowly creeping up the dipstick...hmmm.

With 6 days left on the extended injector warranty I took it in. Figured I would not be covered. Will wonders never cease...new injectors being put in! Just got the call to pick up the truck. So I bought a lottery ticket.

We will have to split the winnings then! I had mine replaced about a week ago and I thought there was no way in hell I would ever have that happen. Didn't cost a red cent. Can't figure out if this was my present for last Christmas or next Christmas. Good luck.

What I did not mention in the story is that I also got paint/corrosion issues with my boat (see sig) covered. For those of you who know North River boats it was bordering on a miracle as the company was almost completely shut down, but is holding its own and working its way back. I picked up the boat the same day I got word my injectors were being replaced. :)
