Anyone ever heard of a 2500 with only 2 grease fiitings on the front end? Miine all have 11.

GDD 04-10-2010, 11:45 PM Has anyone had good luck with getting all fittings greased at an oil change shop? I took my truck once to a reputable shop that I had used many times for other vehicles. I thought the oil change & lube job was a little too quick & asked how many fittings they greased. They said only a couple because they couldn't reach the rest of them. I crawl under the truck & do the lube & oil change myself now. Always liked doing that, but sometimes working long hours didn't leave much spare time. unit 04-11-2010, 11:54 AM I'd be surprised if any of the lube shops ever grease all of the fittings. They aren't likely to know where they are all at and they won't spend the time and trouble to find out. Most dealers may get them, but the only guarantee to grease them yourself. BillE 04-13-2010, 07:27 AM It is not just the 'quickie oil' places, dealers also! Won't say where or who, the service writer is no longer working. But when my grease gun took a dump I needed to get the 11 fittings done. Asked how much, was told $3. I'm all excited and breathing heavy until I asked, "That's for all 11 zerks?" Then the reply, "Yea, but there are only 2 to grease." I have since gotten a new gun. Bill | ||
