I've heard from thru different sources that most 6.5 owners complain of how under powered the Chev is. From my dealer source, most all of the trucks they have seen have had a problem with the Vacuum/turbo system. So I guess this is something that everyone on this board already knows. And thanks to this forum I understand how the system works (and ways to improve it).
Since replacing my boost syn. my truck does not seem to have a power issue (just I'm thirsty give me more diesel issue) this brings me to my next observation.
I just took off the stock 245"s and installed a set of 265 75 16"s I did a couple of 0-80KPH passes and just using a stop watch and 1 eye on the road I got 10s= 80Kph 15s=100Kph 27s= 140Kph. With the larger tires my actual veh speed should be higher. One of the fellows at work has a G-Force which I will borrow and try it again to see what the truck can do, well at least with a more consistant means of testing acceleration. Near as I can tell this truck is stock but as a daily driver it has enough get up and go for me.
Are these times consistant with other stock trucks?
Thanks
