Ok, second BONEHEAD move in 5 days!!!
Today was filling up. I was thinking about filling my mowers and pumped 2.4 gallons of 93 octane gas into tank before I realized it.
I finished filling up with diesel, drove 14 miles home, and gave it a double shot of Stanadyne. I always run Stanadyne anyway, hoping the little extra would help.
I am planning on keeping the tank as full as possible with DIESEL for the next couple of weeks and changing out the fuel filter within a couple of weeks.
Any predictions or advice?
THANKS

it will be fine. 2 gallons isnt enough to hurt anything IMO. Just keep filling it up with diesel to dilute it gradually and I guarantee you wont have any issues at all. (just my opinion though)

Thanks man. That's what I was hoping, but wasn't sure.
My 1st bonehead move (ripped my 5th's trailer cable out of fiver neck) cost me $150 yesterday. I was trying to figure out how much this one was gonna cost me.
I know they say these thing's come in three's, but I hope that I can head that off!!!

That same thing happened to me last July I put almost 7 gallons in before I realized what a stupid thing I did. I top it off with another 9 or so gallons of diesel, a quart of 10w40 motor oil, and kept topping it off every few gallons of use on a 260 mile ride home at 70mph. That was 25,000 miles ago and I can't detect any problems as of yet. Sure scared the c_ _ p out of me though! You should be fine.:)

Run it and not worry. A buddy of mine with an 04 Powerjoke let a friend drive it who was kind enough to fill it up with gas "about 1/2 of a tank" before he returned it. My buddy drove it for 3 days before he realized it, he said it ran fine at first but the more he drove it the louder it got and less power it had. He removed the fuel cap and took a whif, drove it the fuel station and filled it up and by the time he got back home it was running properly again.

You'll be fine. You're only looking at a 10% dilution (26 gallon tank/2.4 gallons of gas), so it's way less than is likely to cause a problem.
Even better news is that such a mistake, and we ALL MAKE THEM, totally imprints the green handle and diesel in your mind.
A guy who never made a mistake is both boring and he never did anything.

Just going by a green handle can get you into the same kind of trouble....... There's quite a few fuel stations that have nothing BUT green handles on all there fuel pumps.......

My neighbor puts a gallon or 2 of unleaded in his '04 Dmax during cold snaps in the winter. He's an OTR trucker w/ 20 years or so in the seat, and says they do that with all their trucks at work to avoid gelling or something. IDK, but his truck runs fine!

Thanks guys!!!
Best of all, I USED to be one of those guys that said "I'd NEVER do that".
We all know how that goes.

don't worry about it......i puled into a gas station with my cummins a few years back that had diesel, the front pumps by the highway where gas and had black handles, and in the back of the station there where the other pumps with green handles.. well i had mabey 1/8th tank, so i took the green handle, and filled my truck up, went and paid, started my truck up, got right about the the highway, started sputterin then died...came inside to raise hell about bad diesel fuel and was told that it was gasoline i put it.... well we new a guy with a shop a couple miles down the road, so pulled my truck there and syphoned all we could and filled back up with diesel, blead the inj. lines. and truck ran fine, IP went out a year or so later but thats just a junk VP44 so....
