The link above is a truck I am looking at. He is asking 5500 for it, but I asked him what could he do with cash. He says 5000. The truck has 275000 on it, but he says it has a rebuilt jasper motor in it with 80,000. Said he did change the fuel pump when they had it rebuilt. Didnt upgrade the cooling system or relocate the pmd. The truck is auto and he said that he has never had any work done to it. What should I really look for. Never owned a diesel and I have heard storys on the 6.5 But I have been studying them and I am a chevy man any how. Just dont want to get burned. How much should I pay or offer for it? Or is there something special with these trucks? All help would be appreciated.

body looks solid, i'd do it. I got a 1995 ex cab from Arkansas that had no rust with 226,000 on it with new tires and tranny for $4,700. A friend of mine has a 6.5 in his and has no problems.

Got my 1993 4x4 with 124K for $4000 on fleabay. High price for miles.

price is high for the miles, IMO

I paid $2500 for my 94 excab k2500 with the 6.5 turbo diesel 195k

Way too much money for the year and miles. Jasper motor is a strike against it. Probbly ready to let loose. Better deals to be had than this one.
