Having black Line X Xtra put in the bed and over the rails along with having the rockers done up to within 1/4" of the body side mouldings.

Now the decisions.

What do you think of removing the body side mouldings and Line Xing up to the body line above them?

What do you all also think of the possibility of removing the factory fender flares and having Line X put on where the flares were.

The idea for the flares removal is to protect the area that would normally rot out over time.

Truck is the '07 in my garage.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

IMO, since you want to do the rockers, I would take the moldings off and go up to the crease.

I'm about to have my bumpers/nerf bars/grill done if the price is right. same truck (black)

I did mine about and inch below the molding and had the flares done too. I would leave the flares on be cause they help from getting stuff all over the truck.

I had mine done up to the crease in the body. This way it has a place to stop and looks better. Also had the inside of the doors done. More pictures in the garage if your interested.

imo i like the moldings off and fender flares line-xed along with line-xed under flares. Consider the bottom of the door sills

Eventually I plan on doing this to my truck, keep the cancer away

I am just real nervous about removing the flares to have under them done because the Line X guy said i could not remount them over the material because the mounting tape won't stick well to the Line X.

I am debating this as well. I have a photoshopped pic in my garage. I am going to take mine up to the bottom of the moldings if done, but I have NBS, so I dont have that same line as you guys.

Had this just recently done up to the crease on mine. Pics in garage if needed....

I love it and it resists everything i've thrown at it so far.

I just went part way up becasue I think it is too much all the way to the body line.

Picking it up tomorrow.

Ended up going to 1/4" below the mouldings. Bed is over the rail, all in black Line-X Xtra.

I like it so far.;) May remove the Chevy mouldings and replace with GMC Chrome ones. Anyone have some for sale?

Thanks for the input,
Mike

ps, will post pics when I get some.
