I just got my truck up and running, and everything works great. It has plenty of power and runs real smooth. The engine is smooth going the all the gears. The only "issue" I'm having is that it seems to have a little vibration that I am feeling through the clutch pedal when I rev it a little in neutral. Its not bad at all, but I can feel it a little, especially when the engine is decelerating. I have a manual clutch linkage, and every manual shift 6.2/6.5 I've owned in the past has been hyd clutch. Is this a normal occurrence? Thanks in advance.

i think that vibration is a going bad throwout bearing or a warped presure plate? i cant remember. my mercury has always had that feeling since i started driving it when i was 10 and it hasnt blown apart yet.

Well, its a brand new throw-out bearing and resurfaced flywheel (brand new as in it hasn't been down the road yet, just a few short runs around my land), so I don't think that would be it. I torqued everything according to spec, and it has 35 - 40 psi oil pressure at idle, so maybe its just the nature of the beast.

probably. i dont think my one graintruck does it but the other does. i think the 77 does it. yea and it has a mech clutch and the 62 has a hydraulic clutch. must be the nature of them.

There is a TSB about this on all data. It says to check the clearance where the bell housing and tranny meet up with a .005 feeler gauge. If the gap is too wide, they say to grind whatever excess metal is causing the gap off the bell housing and reinstall.

i say that it's just the way it is with having the cable clutch. You always get more "feel" with a cable clutch.

Mine actually has a mechanical rod/z bar type clutch linkage (its in a '67 C-30) so it probably transfers more than even the cable clutch.
