I have a brother- n- law who likes the dodges. I my self have a duramax and I'm loving life. My in -law is looking to buy new and can't decide between the 2500 or 3500 4 by4 single reer wheel. What is the difference between the two?
Thx

Most likely just heavier duty rear springs and beefier rearend.

overload rear springs is the difference, and a higher weight rating... with the cummins, practiacly all came with the 11.5 rear end [only the SO automatics had the 10.5" rear]
cab clearence lights were also standard on 3500's up to 05.. 06 that is now an option..
if he is looking at an 05 model year one, the only difference will be the rear overload springs and cab clearence lamps [and of course, the higher weight rating]

only difference is that extra spring helper in the rear to hold a few hundred more pounds, still has the same brakes , same weak pathetic tie rods, and you get the bonus steel wagon wheels , my brother has one, oh yeah you get that neat 3500 logo though
