just like the title says. I can not get my SSDiesel downpipe in the truck. i am just using the downpipe and building the rest myself in 4" with muffler.

First: hits the upper control arm/bracket
Second: hits the pass. side frame near starter
Third: hits the floorboard at the 4" expansion section

^All this is EVEN AFTER denting the pipe some to make it fit^ HOLY %HIT!

and I thought it may be my trans/engine motor mounts being worn/saggin. so I disconnected the trans mount and raised the back of it. Downpipe still doesnt fit!!!!

so the only logical conclusion i can come to is this was a defect part or their jigs/bending machine is turning out incorrect bends.

Terrible fitment!!!! stay away!!!

what should I do, and who sells a good fitting true 3" downpipe for my 96 C2500 6.5??

I replaced mine last summer from Walt at SS and it was very tight getting it in, but it went in and fit like a glove.

I bought my downpipe from warpspeed (they sell diamond eye exhaust) and my 3" downpipe fit perfectly :). Didn't think Walt could mess up on exhaust... but anything is possible I guess lol.

I put Walts turbo back on my ole '99 6.5 and it was a very tight fit, with alot of twisting and a few wrench throwing tantrums involved, :D

Give it some time and it will go in, just goes in really tight.
