I set the dreaded p0735 code on my 05 with just a juice on lvl 2/3, dealer got trans apart and said we'll repair c3 clutch pac- I opted to do a SC LVL4 rebuild:cool: to avoid this problem again. I picked up the old parts today and It looks like only the c3's have any indicaton of slip, a few burn spots about 1/4" or so on the steels and slight discolor of the clutch, would this cause the code or before I pick it up Wednesday should I have them look at anything else. The C1's ?(Smallest set) show some slip on the clutchs but not on the steels. I has taken since Friday for the tech to disassemble/drain/install transgo/rebuild clutchs so I am just wanting to dbl check him. I have stopped and checked/lent a hand at least 1x per day and he did rebuild another trans in a grandnational also- typical dealer- can't just stay on task, he has been there 6 years and trans for 8, and is allison certified. Likes the beef of the Suncoast stuff.

OH, how many miles untill towing?

C3s will set that code every time. C3 is a problem child clutch. You are good to go with the Suncoast and will not have that problem again.

By the way Mike L test drove mine after the rebuild I'd say it's safe to tow right away.
