: New Max 05'Max 06-28-2005, 10:32 PM 04'Max just bought a new 05 Max and I can definately tell the difference between the LB7 and the LLY. Thought I had the LLY because I bought the 04 new and assumed the newer motor was in there.... Ha, nope! I had the older Max and put 17 K on it with no problems at all. The new truck is a crew cab which is why I bought the 05 and the extra room is great.
