My truck has been missing and also had a rough idle on and off for the last month or two. The problem comes and goes but seems to be sticking around now for good. Right now what happens is when I start it, it will idle rough and then clear up. As soon as it warms up and I go to leave it will start to miss going down the road and at some points it will even give a knocking noise that almost sounds like a spark knock in a gas motor. It had been doing this and never threw a code until yesterday when it threw a P1235 code on my Bully Dog PMT and said "Fuel pump control out of range" I'm kinda lost right now with what to do, I read the ice pick fix but this does not seem to be the same problem. I also recently changed my fuel filter and cleaned the mass air flow sensor. PLEASE HELP WITH ANY IDEAS THANKS!!

P1235 is injector #5. Inspect for wiring harness rub at the FICM. Also try wiggling the # 5 injector.

might be a dumb question but is the number 5 injector on the passenger side second from the back?

yup 5 is right next to or under the fuel filter housing. ditto on the wires by he ficm bracket. if you find them chaffed against that bracket fix them tape up the harness and put a piece of hose behind it and wire tie it to the bracket. we see this problem quite often.
