First let me say that I am new to this forum. Now my question is, I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD C/C S/B with a Duramax/Allison. Recently when I tow my fifth wheel while the air temps are 75 and above, a/c cranking ( Love the Chevy a/c, feels like your in a freezer. NICE!!!) The truck sounds like I have a commercial airliner attached to the underside of the truck. I had called the dealership where I purchased the truck from, they tell me that it is the fan clutch. Is this a normal sound that I should be hearing, or is there something that can be done to quiet the noise. I have towed the trailer during the cooler days and did not hear the noise. Normal or Not?????:help:

It definetly moves a lot of air. Last weekend, towing FW in the mountains with the fan clutch engaged, we were in a cloud of dust the entire way. All of the dust was created from the fan, it looked kinda funny with the dust blowing from the underside of the front of the truck. Probably need to check my air filter now.......

Thanks for all of your input on this thread, I truly appreciate the help, I would have been lost if it wasn't for you guys answering my post. I thought the dealer was trying to pull the wool over my eyes, to try to get out of having to repair my truck.:thankyou2
