Had an Edge EZ:mad: on my LLY, level one pulling 20,000 Lbs on a goosenek. EGT's were around 1100 to 1200. Now own a PPE:) and want to pull trailer on level 2(90 hp at crank). I was looking at Banks innercooler, $1300. How much lower EGT's can I expect? Is there a better one than the Banks? Also with that kind of weight behind me is that to much power for a stock tranny?

Towing that much weight on level 2 will probably smoke your trans before anything else. A built trans would be a better investment. :)
50hp over with that weight is plenty for a stock trans.
Pulling that weight will make you want to invest your $ in a V2 w/fan to keep your engine temps down. Don't let the fooler engine temp guage lull you into a false sense of security. The V2 will also help with your mileage.
Then start saving for an updated trans after that. At 50hp over my stock trans is still holding good and I pull 20k+ (hay/cattle).

yeah thats plenty on a stock trans WITHOUT towing anything I would say whether it at the crank or the wheels but.........

If you want to lower egt's I'd get a boost stick, turbo mp and get rid of that nasty cat. All of the above will cost you less than 400 bucks and IMO reduce EGT's more than an aftermarket intercooler. If you need to cool it further, get the v2 like posted above, it will make your WHOLE system run cooler.

Biggest thing is getting more cool air in and get rid of the hot air/exhaust fast as possible. has anybody ever noticed that the inlet and outlets of our inter coolers is 3" or so and the pipes are 2" or so. What would be beneficial is to have uniform 3" through the whole system from the turbo to the intake Y in between the heads going into the plenum's I bet it would help some. sure couldn't hurt. I built 3" pipes for my Cummins in my F350 from 3" aluminum pipe, they look great and flow more air. but at the same time I installed an intercooler cause it was without one and the differents was tremendous.
Before the intercooler I could peg my 1500 deg gauge easily and now on a warm day say 70 to 80 I might see 1100 and thats pre turbo, so It could be safe to say I dropped 400 to 500 deg and cruising it used to run 800 to 850 and now doing the same speed on the same road with the same temp it runs just under 600
So I would think there could be some gain from bigger pipes but maybe not that noticable where we already have the equipment just not as big as we'd like. but it all adds up to a big gain I'm sure.
