Are the Fabtech ones similar to the Cognito? Gotta pic of the ball joint in the UCA?

You can just get the cognito ones, they should be the same thing. Unless you want the OEM UCAs with the press in ball joints.

If that's the case then go to NAPA and pick up part #NCP 260-1313.

yes but DONT get the MRC ones. they are the same as the one fabtech gives and are junk. The NCP ones have a teflon coating inside on the ball and are better designed. I have 50k on mine with no isses yet and this is with heavy abuse

I went to www.napaonline.com, searched for NCP2601313. Typed in my zip code and the site said that they were availible. Printed the page, went to my local Napa with the sheet and said, "I want these". They responded "How many?"

They returned with the requested quantity 2. I flirted with the cashier for a few moments, paid, and back out the door in less than 5. Couldn't have been easier.

One note one those is that they only come with grade 5 mounting bolts. Being the overkill guy that I am, I went to Fastenall and picked up some Grade 8 hardware. I got the 1.5" bolts (as specified in the instructions) however, they are too long. I could have easily used 1.25".

The replacement was very straightforward, write-ups all over the place.

Oh! Almost forgot! The OD of stud nut was too big to fit into the spindle and I re-used the fabtech one. Not sure if that's a bad idea or not but if it bothers you, go find a new nut. Tighten to 90 ft-lbs.
