Does any body have the boost stick from kennedy?

Do you like it does it work?

Do you recommend it?

I ran a boost stick when I had the Edge Juice w/*** and it did good. It was a good adder to the Edge. I took it off and sold it when I went to EFI

Just installed a boost stick and EGR blocker/finger stick on my '05 2500. Truck runs like a spurred horse now, with smoother throttle response, faster spool-up, and better fuel economy to boot. Very pleased with it.

it was designed and tested with Edge, but I don't see why it wouldn't work with banks. it won't do much on a stock motor either.

it's a plug in, and it just remaps the turbo boost curve and limits.. if I remember it raises boost from 24 to 32.

anyone used a boost stick with a hypertech?

A boost stick could push the boost out of its efficiency range. The stock boost is in its efficiency range even with our tuning. We didnt see a big gain by just bumping the boost. This motor already has more air than fuel so its not a product we tested.

Thanks Hypertech.

The boost stick was developed while the LLY was still in it's infancy. It was developed because the only people at the time who were capable of accessing the tuning were not doing boost. It can make a tremendous difference for some, yet less with others depending on how the tuning has been written.

Boost makes a VERY nice difference when tuned properly. The best way to tune boost is still in the ECM and we now have the ability to tune the ECM. Just altering boost tables is not going to have a profound effect. There are limit and control tables that need to be altered to match, but it takes a keen knack to keep in touch.

The boost stick still sells quite well even with my pointing out that it is a band aid for weak tuning. Good tuning is still the best.

The boost stick and Edge EZ make a good combination.

My Diablosport Predator set on 85HP with the Boost Stick works well together, I am gettting 35 PSI Boost when I'm pulling hills with the 15,000lb trailer behind me and I find my EGT's are about 150 degrees lower than running without the boost stick. I also just purchased a used Hypertech Max Energy to try, it doesn't seem to work as well with the boost stick, it runs a few PSI lower, but the Hypertech doesn't let the EGT's get too high, even set on 95hp

boost stick and the ppe are amazing together. i have like 5-8 lbs of boost cruising on the highway with it and only about 3 without. wot i get up to about 32 max even with the 225 tune.

Not trying to ruin your parade, but Hypertech engineers are not experts in the power department.

Nope they are experts in the "don't tear up your stock tranny or melt pistons while adding about 95 horsepower and boosting your mileage" department. If you want to take your tow vehicle and race it your better off going with another programmer......but then you will need another tranny and converter correct? Some of us use our truck as designed for towing not for racing. Have a good day.

I'm sorry, but I don't see the relevance in your post. Why play big brother for Hypertech?

I run EFI Live, arguably the most dangerous programming tool there is. I also write my own tunes using everything that I learned in the Kansas Public School system. No engineering degrees, automotive, physics, general studies, or even a basket weaving degree. But yet I haven't torn up my stock trans, or melted my pistons...but I have had a very nice boost in mileage.:confuzeld

My point is that your assumption that other tuners will damage your motor and trans, and that you will NEED to upgrade the drivetrain, is misinformed and naive.

There are MANY programmers that are "safe" for a 100% stock truck. Turn it up to blast an idiot ricer, turn it down to tow 20,000lbs. Some of us like to have our cake, and eat it too.

BTW, nice 1/4mile time...I guess you dont use your truck for racing on all days except for that one.
