:help:
I am recieving code 31,32,33,& 78 intermitently. Truck runs fine but an occasional miss. I checked power at egr, egr vent, & epr sol at idle........ All have power at idle.
Codes were read off of the CEL. The list I have for the codes is
31 = EGR control Vacuum too high.
32 = EGR circuit fault.
33 = EGR sensor circuit high (low vacuum).
78 = is waste gate solenoid fault.
I should point out that the faults seem to occur when the pedal is unloaded; ie: when holding speed without much pedal pressure 10 or 20 seconds pass then on comes the CEL. Acceleration will usually turn it off, as will deceleration sometimes.
Any thoughts? All help appreciated.

Check for vacuum from the pump to the solenoids. The baro on the firewall is looking for~20" Hg vac at idle, make sure the EGR clicks when you plug the baro line.

Thanks......... I'll check it out and let you know. Is it likely that the EGR is not closing properly ... maybe clogged or something? I have never taken it apart and don't know much about what goes on in the top of the engine.

They do clog the intake after 150,000-200,000 miles the intake is half the id if not less.

Get a Turbo-Master, and say good bye to EGR, solenoids, vacuum pump and associated codes. Say hello to MORE POWER!

That was it!! At least I think that was it. The front half of the intake tube from the turbo was blocked solid with sludge and carbon. I have cleared that and it seems to run better. I guess time will tell! Even if that wasn't the problem, I don't think it was time wasted. It was pretty blocked and was a definite source of trouble either present or very near future.
Thanks for the help!
