The 07 1/2 tons have electric fans factory. I was wondering if anyone has put them on a 2500 d-max and if they move enough air to keep it cool. I was changing oil on one the other day and got the idea.

I'm not sure about those particular fans, but electric fans do work fine on a LB7 Duramax. I use 2 fans from a Ford Taurus (90-95 3.8L). Just be aware that you will compromise your towing capacity and will have to probably replace a fan motor or controller at some point. There is also more of a strain on the electrical system when the fans are operating at 100%, but that is rare. My fans are rarely on. They get their most use when the AC is on.

Hey sp6c70, do u have a link or any info on the ford taurus fans? i was thinkin flex-lite fans, but there over $800 new up here in canada.

I think there is a Vendor here that sale them for Dmax's. Coom my Dmax? or something like that.

txchristopher sells the V2 for LLY's, I think it uses SPAL fans and a SPAL controller.

I think the 1/2 ton fans will bolt right up since it is the same body style.
