When will we offically know the hp/tq of the 06's. Kool, when will you be free to tell?

At the beginning of June, he said something about knowing by the end of the month.

Aug. 1 is the offical date I was given.

In talking with my neighbor yesterday-who currently works at the Flint Truck plant (CC diesel trucks & medium duty’s only) he said the new LLY’s for ’06 are in the plant. He wasn’t sure of the specs but I told him to ask around and he said he would and let me know. He also said July 7 was official build date for ’06. Pretty sure these are just test runs because of GM re-tooling that occurs in first part of July.

Will there every be a 1/2 ton diesel? What are considered medium duty trucks?

medium duty trucks are smaller 'semi' trucks. light duty trucks are classified as pick-up trucks medium duties are a step up, usually used for commercial use. As far as a 1/2 ton diesel I imagine it will happen someday, don't think there are any plans to mass produce them yet. I remember on our farm we had a 4 cylinder turbo diesel Ford Ranger. That truck was so fun to drive around in the fields, hopefully GM will put out a diesel in the 1/2 ton trucks soon

A friend of mine used to have a diesel Ram 1500

so there are pretty much no more 05's to order. if i was to order a new truck i'll have to go with an 06. there not changing the tranny and engine over to the 6 speed and more hp and tq until jan 06. is that true or just rumors? also any changes to interior or exterior, or just little changes?
