I am thinking of getting the CST 6-8" lift for my truck. what have some of you who have gotten this lift payed? and did you do the work yourself or have a shop do it? I was looking at some of the opthers but decided that the CST looks the strongest.

also I want to be able to tow with the truck since I have a 5th wheel mount in the bed and was wondering if a 6 or 8 inch lift would still be ok for it?

Thanks

I paid $2000 for the lift and $500 for install at my buddy's shop, not sure if that's the good guy deal but it was way cheaper than any of the other shops quoted. I have installed a lift myself before and it's a lot of work, not that hard just a lot of time and you need the right tools. For $500 it was worth it to have it installed by a pro. A 6" lift and 35's is about as high as you can go and still safely tow a 5th wheel in my opinion. You'll need to get the trailer axles flipped to a spring over to get it up level with the truck. I have seen taller but it just looks scary and doesn't seem all that safe to me, that's a lot of weight up in the air.

If you want call my buddy Jason Riley at Rancho Motorsports and get a quote. Tell him Chris Mock sent ya and he should take care of you. Might be a little far to travel for a lift but he can at least give you a good idea of what you should be paying. 909-390-9722.

Good luck,

Chris

I purchased mine about 2 years ago, and i beleive prices have gone up a little since then. Did the install myself. Not a bad job if you are reasonably mechanically inclined and have the right tools. I've never towed a fifth wheel, but i think the hitch height would be a little tall on my truck. I can get you a measurement to the tailgate if you'd like.
