How are you going to mount a 30K front winch.? I hace a 10ft plow on my 5500 4x4 the only way for me to install one is to use a front 2" recieverw/cradel for the winch. Also go to the dealer and look under rhe front bumper..you got to get a very very good fab. guy for that job..30K thats a monster. If you use a snach block your at 60K thats 4.5 times the weight of your rig. can you say blocks and a ship anchor.. :cool2:

each wrap of the winch spool drops the effective pull by upwards of 40%, thus a 12k winch with a full wrap can only yield appprox 7500k. No good for a rig with a wt of 12500lb sitting still. As far as the build out...very easy with compitent fab shops...firefighting and gov rigs have them all the time...extend and attach steel to frame rails, build a platform, add live hydraulics (already complete) and go...

The mount of the plow was the thing i was talking about,, proximity to the bumper and frame mount in combination with the winch.. after you get your plow you will understand. NICE FRIGGEN TRUCK>>:ro)

Hey Mud Guts,

Nice truck. So how are you liking it? I like the bins. Your winch issue with the reduction is really not an issue. It is common on any winch. Just use a snatch block. you will have plenty of pull out power power as long as you have enough cable. I like the truck. Not many 4x4's out there. I like it.
