I have a 6.5 built to 93 6.5 W/TURBO & 4911 pump specs, DSG gear Drive
Do any of you guys have access to the correct figures for timing this engine with a lumy probe?
I have had answers ranging from 2.6 BTDC @1400 to 6* ATDC @1400 now thats too much variation for me.
I would guess it should be close to TDC, any later and you are firing off of compressing hot air and not compressing any fuel.

Using a timetrack it should be set to 8 dre. at 1250 rpm. Timetrack is a timing tool made by stanadyne most fuel shops and some GM dealers should have one. This tool is made to set timing on most all of end users of the DB and DB2 pumps made by Stanadyne. Ford, IH, Johndeer, and GM, to name a few.
