I have a '99 Silverado with the 6.0 that starts fine when cold but, once warmed up starts pretty hard. It will usually start after the third or fourth try and then stumbles a bit immediately after.
I intend to change the fuel filter this weekend but, a friend of mine with the same truck said that his was doing the same thing and he had to replace the fuel pump. His truck has 3 or 4 times the miles of mine and I would prefer to not put a new fuel pump in if it's not needed. My truck has about 70,000 miles on it with no mods. The engine service light has not come on at all.
The guys at the local auto parts store recommended I start with the filter and then try changing out the temp sensor. Any other ideas?
