newer injectors, injection pump rebuilt, truck starts fine when cold and runs fine afterwords, if you shut it off it will not restart til you let it cool. , has power at LP when cold but after motor is hot no power at LP tried jumpering out lift pump, pump ran but still would not start. Took voltage reading at injection pump sol. had power. truck runs and starts normal in the winter, thinking possible bad ground. any other ideas?

not sure if the 92's were electronic or not...if they were...have you checked the pmd (pump mounted driver)on the pump?

PM TDG, I think he said in a previous post that this is a sign of a mechanical pump starting to go iirc.

hard start hot mechanical pumps is a reason to put in a thoroughly rebuilt pump. DB-2 pumps are not too bad on price ~$300 -400,iirc

Pump rebuilt? Sure has signs of head/rotor issues on no-hot-start.

Rebuilt DB2-4911 pumps arn't cheap. Usually require new pump head on rebuild. That's usually why they fail.Cost more than normal repair/overhaul.

Gotta be cheaper than a DS4 . . . right?

Cheaper, but not by much. Brand new Head plus wear and tear parts is pricey alright.

Who rebuilt the pump? Still under warranty? They should replace it for you if it is.

WABAC Pronounced "Way-Back" is Mr. Peabodys time machine. Do a Google search. Now what is a Quantum Mechanic? One who works on Quantums?

Nope, can't say that I have. . . I know, deprieved aren't I? Haven't had cable since we got married. . . 8 years, or is it 7? At least I know the date. . . Don't need cable when I can burn my time under the hood or under other's cyberly-speaking.

QM used to have a neat little quazi-supernova explosion lookin' like avatar from way, way, way back when when we were using other software.

Anywho, did this IP have a warranty or not, or was it a cheapy fix job to get you on the road?
