i,m doing a drop shackle right now.how in hell do you get the top rear bolt out?raising is no good as it tops out on the under side of the box.lowering is no good as it hits the frame mount.i can,t remove the front spring mount as the bolt hits the gas tank,so i can,t swing the whole leaf forward.

I think the trick is that you need to jack up the rear under the diff really high.
Put jack stands under the frame, high enough to let the suspension droop out. This has to be done to both sides otherwise it hits the rivet on the frame.
From there you do both at the same time.
Heres a link to the sulastic install, pretty much the same thing.

that doesn,t work on my truck.spring perch hits the box and then there is a frame rivit which keeps the bolt from sliding out.
Remove the bottom shackle bolt then swing the spring down far enough to get at the top bolt. OR as others have done, take a torch and cut the head off the bolt and replace with a new bolt and install the new bolt the opposite direction. (nut on the inside nearest to fram)

Loosen all the bed bolts and lift the bed a couple of inches and it will slide over The rivet it's only 8 bolts on the bed it's not to bad to do

ya, got it beat.i removed just the last 2 bed bolts on each side.hooked my overhead hoist to a bed tie down and lifted it an inch. worked sweet.
