Any one ever heard of a throttle lock to be put an any of our diesel trucks?

How high rpm do u want?

The fast idle kits get maybe 1800rpm.

Looking for about 16 to 1700 rpm. What can u tell me about them, how do they work.

The duramax is drive by wire, so the ecm controls the RPM. Kennedy has a good explanation of the high idle kit on his web site:

i woundn;t think you'd want a throtle lock w/ high idle for racing. high idle doesn't let the motor rev very high and it runs kinda like crap. besdies if you're sitting on the line, applying the breaks will drop the high idle back to regular idle.
