I'm looking at buying either of these trucks but the LMM's seem harder to find and I dont like hearing about all the emission changes that they have made to it. I'm looking at making a lot of power and better mpg's and it seems like the LBZ's are easier to do that to.
So my question is for you guys that have the LMM I'm sure some of you had the LBZ before so how do they compare. Pro's and con's of both? Thanx

I'd never go back to the OBS after driving the LMM.
opinions vary I guess.

I had a LBZ and went to a LMM. I jumped up from a LT1 Chevy to a SLT GMC so the difference in interior is a very nice step-up. So far, I haven't noticed that the mileage is that much different than the LBZ but I don't have that many miles on it. Keep in mind a LMM is a LBZ with a slightly larger EGR and a DPF system on it. If you're going to mod the truck and defeat the emissions systems anyway, you're essentially dealing with the same truck. The better interior comes at the expense of the exterior sheetmetal.

My LMM wil stay with me for some time. I honestly think its better than my 04 or 05 in every way and would never go back period

The LMM would be my advice but do a search. This has been asked hundred of times.

Really, where did you hear that?
While I don't have a boost guage, I'm able to build up enough boost to spin all 4 tires for about 5 feet. Don't know what more you could want.
To the OP, pick the body style you like best. Once you remove the DPF they are identical underneath the sheet metal. Again, if you're tuning what ever issue that PPEI is talking about won't be an issue anymore.

With my log-efilive.
I can't make over 12lbs of boost off the line...neither can anyone else I talk to maybe someone has addressed a fix to this but I'm yet to find it.
Roasting tires is never a issue :D

Ahh....makes sense........but you think that's a problem that most people would ever notice? :p: Supposed to be the same turbo, injectors, heads, cams pistons, ect. So the issue would have to be in the tune correct?

The better interior comes at the expense of the exterior sheetmetal.
Please elaborate if you would. Do you find the sheetmetal to be thinner on the new trucks, or are you just referring to a style preference? Thanks...
