Just venting lol
I had put on 38.5'' x 14.50'' r18 Pro comp xtreme m/ts on my truck. 21/32 i think was the tread depth new, after 38,000 miles of driving, lil off roading, lots and lots of towing im now down to 13/32... still more then 1/2!

They balanced well, i used heavy extra dense airsoft pellets and even with a couple chunks missing from some sharp rocks they still have no vibes.

I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to start looking for deals over the next year. I paid $350/tire for these, but i've found they dont make these anymore! discontinued, called several dozen places to see if there was any old stock, no luck.

Interco, a brand which i've never had a tire go beyond 10k mile sells the m16, but its only a 37x13.5; to small and i've read last around 20k to 30k miles.
The other option is the toyo 38x13.5r18, but its a lil $$$ and read its gets 30k to 40k which is acceptable and i guess my best choice.

Oh well, thanks for reading. let me know if you find any xteme M/ts is that size or recomend another aggressive/ long lasting tire.

Its kinda a popular method to use "dynabeads" ( i think thats what they are called) to balance your tires. I was to cheap to actually buy dynabeads, so i bought the dense airsoft gun pellets. they are 3x as dense and heavy as a regual airsoft pellet, I used the guide on th dyna beads web site to determine how much to put it... i think it was 10oz per tire.

This may be a stupid question, but you're running them on the outside of the tires?
Reason I ask, is because in the motorcycle world(offroad) there's these things called 'Tire balls'. They're big balls you use to 'inflate' your tires with. They don't really 'inflate' the tires per say, but do basically the same job.
When I read your post, an image popped into my head of you filling your tires with millions of airsoft pellets:eek::D. You're using plastic pellets, or metal?

I run airsoft pellets in the front tires(37x12.50 super swamper TSL's) on my 77 k10, Dont bother with the rears because i dont drive it on the street very much and the front is where you get death wobble from.

How it works is that you install them inside of the tire and as the tire is spinning the BBs/pellets are also spinning around the rim inside of the tire and they balance out the tire. They work the same as the stick on weights that you have on your truck.
