All the diesel operators I talked to in 2001 when I bought my first Durmax told me that I just had to install the K & N filter in my truck....Like a good newby, I went out and had one installed and routinely cleaned and oiled it (read the directions)....I did notice a hesitation that I had during agressive take off was eliminated....but other than that, I didn't notice any difference in the truck performance etc...

Have read some bad press on the filters recently and now that I have my new 2005 Durmax....wanted to check with the forum members and get some feedback before I stick one in this 3500 DRW...
