Hello all, new to the forum..
I will be upgrading my 2008 2500 3LT Suburban to a new 2011 Silverado 2500HD Duramax
Does anyone have any inside information when the dealers will get the options list so i can order??
Does anyone have the inside info on when dealers will be getting delivery??
I am guessing end of July/ beginning of August Delivery to dealers as GM traditionally has seemed to start new model year production after their July 4th week shut down.
I wonder who will have the new ones out first GM or Ford?

Ford will be out in early spring, and as you stated the Silverado will be out in the summer.

An FYI is that the crew cab 3500 is now available with a standard 6'6" bed. While the trucks are identical save for the rear spring pack, the 11,500 GVWR (10k on the 2500) will ensure you are 100 percent okay in the highly unlikely event the real-life weight police want to bust your balls. Unless you get a stellar deal for a 2500, that'd be what I'd go with.

The Chevrolet truck order guide lists the available trims and options (but not prices or delivery schedules).

So I would expect to see them on lots by the middle of July.

I read on Chevys website a week or so ago and they said not til fall of 2011. I think they meant to say 2010. :D They might have changed it by now.
Actually I think it was GMC

I was told they cant order for me yet as they do not have pricing and the official go ahead from GM to take orders. They can allocate what i want to have and they will advise as soon as i can order......... is what i was told.... thats why if figured i would ask...... My dealer wants to be cautious as they said they are often behind in getting "new" stuff out in regards to dates they release.

One model that seems to be missing from the fleet Ordering and Production Schedule is the 2011 Extended Cab 2500HD diesel. This is precisely the model I am interested in. Hopefully, this means it will still be available through retail dealers, just not on a fleet sale basis.

its on there...
if you look in the specs it lists CK20953 with LML/LGH. CK20953 is GM's internal designation for the 2500HD extended cab pickup trucks.

I also noticed it is not complete........ if you look at the trailer ratings, they are still the old numbers not the new ones.......

I was at the auto show last week and the chevy rep told me that you can start orders in April and they should start showing up on dealer lots in May. He also didnt know the power specs yet, but they were released two days after I talked to him. So how much hes into the loop I dont know.
