Does anyone know how the TCM module actually calculates the max eng torque as shown in the Tech 2 snapshot on the failed crankshaft?
How long is the info in the TCM stored? One engine on/off ? Time period or number of cycles?
Or does it reset only if a new higher number is calculated and record the new max value?
My vehicle is stock so no worries yet? However, is there any chance that the TCM can make an error doing this calculation?
I can see why this value is very important, it appears to catch the inline tunes that do not record on the ECM but I am interested to see if anyone can verify its accuracy? Thanks:confused:
