So i Was looking for some rims for my 2006 duramax. I have 2'' blocks in rear and green keys to level it out. So i was looking for some 18'' moto metal with 305 tires, and the tire store said that the rims will not fit cause of a -18 off set? They said i need to get a +20 off set.. is this true? can i get away with something that might be -10 or 0 off set? I would like them to stick out a bit. What can a get away with?. I don't mind if i have to do a little triming. thanks for the help!

what is the backspacing on the rims you are looking at?
I dont see why they wouldn't fit though. minor trimming at the most.

-6 on a 9" rim and 305 tire stick out just a bit and will require minimal trimming.

i had 325/60R18s on 18x10 wheels with a -32mm offset and it worked fine with the grren keys, but i had to trim a little more than i liked. i tried my bothers 18x9 wheels with -12mm offset and 325/60R18s and they fit way better.

SO i should be ok with -12 then? Just making sure cause i have to order them in. Just didn't sound right to me. Anyone running the moto metal mo957 in a 18'' 305 tire? Just leveled.

If you go with +offset and have 305's you will be likely to have the tire hit the UCA at full crank. Seen it and been there.
