Installing a 4'' Tuff Country kit soon and figured I would beef up the front end while I'm at it. I tried to search for more answers but nothing really worked. Which would be better to get...new HD rods or just sleeves? Does it really matter? Thanks guys.

most guys believe that a full tie rod replacement is the best as the whole unit is beefier. however, i am running stainless steel sleeves and they have held up great so far. they have been through hard off road and a few hard 4wd launches without problem. i also have the cognito steering supports as well so that helps. either should work for you. i would check out pitman, idler, and center link as well if your going to be racing or anything like that.

I would vote for the Cognito HD OE style tie rods, but the sleeves will work as well. I prefer the extra size and stregth in the joints and shafts of the actual tie rods versuses still have the smaller components of the stock shafts with just the sleeves.
