Just got my truck back from the shop on Friday (for the second time), and was looking it over checking thigs such as tire pressure, and found this on the RR tire:

I think it's about 1/32" to 1/16" deep.

I'm fairly certain that it happened while at the dealer, but there is absolutley no way to prove it. The big question is will that pose a problem while towing a heavy 5er? I don't think it would pose a problem empty, but putting a load on, I don't know. Should I swap it with the fromt tire?

I wouldn't swap it with the front but maybe the spare. Either way that can be dangerous and may cause a sidewall blowout.

I stopped by a Bridgestone dealer, and the guy there felt it was just cosmetic, and that it posed no risk... It's no more then 1/16" deep... I'm still going to see if the guys at Lou Fusz will do anything...

I would replace it with the spare or just get it off the truck all together. It being summer time and the heat generated in a tire when towing a heavy load its just not worth the risk! I bet the guy that told you it was only cosmedic wont be around to pay your deductable to have your truck and trailer fixed if the tire does blowout.
