I just swapped a motor into my van. In preparing for the first road test I discovered that my coolant crossover / thermostat tube is broken. I must have tightened it down too tight. Didn't think that I did but?? There is no way to get a torque wrench into that van engine compartment.
Anybody know how I can repair this or does anybody know where to get one? Do any other vehicles have the 23500858 tubes on them?
Here is what it looks like:

Seems like there's one for sale in the marketplace on here right now.......
Where do you see that? I looked all through the classifieds and searched on every related keyword I could think of.
Thanks,
JP.

i've got one that i would send you for free, but its for a truck and the outlet is forward instead of upward.
You had me excited.
Oh well, I'll see if my die grinding and RTV Silicon filling job will hold any water.

Probably be better off using JB-Weld instead of RTV......
Random:
Thanks for the offer, but I have a forward facing one that will not fit due to the mounts for the A/C being in the way.
Joe:
I thought about JB but since I did the repair on the inside of the tube I'm hoping that the pressure will keep the silicone pressed into the crack.
Thanks,
JP.

I have my orginal 1984 water cross over with a 90 degree water neck.
It worked fine and didn't leak when I took my engine apart, also I have the correct high flow thermostat in there. My truck always ran at the proper temp.
I got a 88-93 water cross over with the single high flow bypass blocking thermostat, just because I wanted to up grade it and don't need the original one any more.

Let us know how it worked.....
It held up to the 15 psi shop test. After I put the intake back together and enough of the front end together that I can go for a drive I will report back.
