I have an 09 with 2000 miles on it. I'm considering changing out the stock tank for a larger 45 gallon replacement tank by Transfer Flow. Everything stays stock except for the tank itself. GMC dealer will install it. Am I taking a risk on this? Has anyone had any experience with a denial on something related to a fuel tank change? Just trying to make up my mind. Thanks

I would think that the only thing that they won't cover would be anything fuel tank related. If your fuel pump or sending unit goes out they might charge you for the labor to R&R the fuel tank but not the part. But if your dealer is installing it, try to get them to sign something that says that this fuel tank will not void any part of your warranty.

check with your dealer. some of them are looking for a reason to refuse warranty.

Yea, ask your dealer if he is the one installing the new tank. Get it in writing if no issue with warranty.
