if it came out of a cucv it will be a j. no emissions crap blocking the intake. more hp, IP usually puts out a little more fuel.

If it came out of a CUCV it's a J code....... A C code has emissions controls on it (i.e. EGR), A J code has no emissions controls and the fuel is also turned up slightly from a C... J is better because of better airflow due to no emissions and slightly higher horsepower....

62. drops right in. does it have an auto or a manual? you run the distributer ignition wire to the main power on the IP. run the glow plugs on a switch and a relay. and you would need an ignition wire to the fast idle/ cold advance switch in passenger head to the IP. thats pretty much it, very basic

it has a 700r4. the wiring is gonna be the hardest thing for me. what is this fuel solenoid by Ford?? and what does it do and how do I actually hook it up???

its an electrical relay. low power from switch to relay. relay sends heavy power wire to glow plugs. someone upgraded the tranny from the th350 or 400? you'll need the proper diesel cable to the tranny, a diesel govenor in the tranny and probably should change the torque converter to the diesel one. theres some threads around on the tranny stuff. you can probably get away with a low stall gas converter.
